By IC11 The fourth edition of the Dutch Infographic Conference IC11 is called ‘Inside Infographics’. Main topic: how do you draw the reader’s attention to your storytelling? How do you get the user inside your infographic? That’s not only the case for printed or interactive graphics. But also in applications such as games and tools like augmented reality.
We are proud to present to you the line-up of the conference: Gert Nielsen (from Denmark), known for its controversies and calls for more emotion in visuals, is our keynote speaker. Other speakers are the news room-manager (foreign desk) of dutch public broadcaster NOS, Dave Abspoel. He and motion designer Wouter Kroese are both experts in visual storytelling, animations or animated reconstructions. Rene Glas (Utrecht University) is a game expert, Eric Hammink (developer of iPhone Apps) talks about the evolution of map design, Francien Malecki (winner of the Dutch Design Price) tells about visual communication and Bas Broekhuizen (Leiden University) will present the results of his survey on interactive infographics.
Kees Kraaijeveld plunges deep inside companies to visualize their profiles and help the managers in making decisions. The illustrious John Grimwade (Conde Nast, New York), who’s involved in the implementation process of Conde Nast’s magazines into the iPad, will be speaking about information design and the Tablet Revolution. Finally Adobe is present, who will provide a presentation about the Digital Publishing Suite. Moderator is former editor in chief of Netherlands largest news room, AD Nieuwsmedia: Jan F. Bonjer. All non-english speakers will simultaneously be translated. Headsets are freely available.
